mesh networking only becomes useful a satellite is out of sight of a ground station, that is is may improve area coverage, but it does not improve capacity into a given area.
If you are a little bit confused by what the differnce is between the 500RX and the Sidekick RX, I’ll expalin it for you.
There’s an original 1950s flight recorder, which used a stylus to etch basic flight conditions—such as altitude, airspeed, heading, vertical acceleration, and time—onto a foil magazine that could be used only once. Investigators had to use a microscope to decipher the little squiggles and lines, which looked something like an EKG reading. Data and flight recorders from the 1960s employed magnetic tape to store flight information, a technological achievement that was still in use as recently as the early 1990s, when solid-state recorders became the norm.
What’s that? Even four wires is too many? In that case, you might be interested in this hack from [Vinod] which shows how you can drive the classic 16×2 with data and power on the same pair of wires. You’ll still need a microcontroller “backpack” for the LCD to interpret the modulated voltage, but if you’ve got an application for a simple remote display, this is definitely worth checking out.

I personally quite like the simple design of the new transmitters. I have worked with the Sennheiser AVX system many times and I like its reliability and compact design. It looks like Sennheiser has taken it even a bit further with the XSW-D series. I hope it is still as reliable as the AVX set.
Speaking of modulation sources, MicroFreak offers three main modulators: two envelopes and an LFO. The regular Envelope (Attack, Decay/Release and Sustain) is hardwired to the filter, with cutoff mod depth applied with the bipolar Filter Amt knob. This envelope can also govern amplitude when the Amp Mod toggle button is engaged.
A low-orbit satellite network could, however, have a big advantage for long-distance transmissions: the data will move at .99C rather than ⅔C for fiber.
These challenges include: How far do we push fiber deeper into the network to meet subscribers’ service and application expectations? Does the node split and segmentation model continue to work with changing standards, policies and procedures? Where does remote PHY fit into the CATV network’s evolution? Under what conditions is the ROI right to deploy fiber all the way to businesses and homes?

Unlike the SRS-2, the changes observed from baseline on the Vineland-II composite and domain scores were, on average, minimal in the placebo group and were small to moderate on other scales.
