The original DSL system was designed to produce data rates of 1.5 Mbits/s to 8 Mbits/s downstream from the telephone company to the subscriber and a lower rate upstream. Most Internet access involves more downloading and less uploading of data. The resulting design is referred to as asymmetrical DSL or ADSL. Most DSL formats are asymmetrical, although there are DSL variations that deliver the same rates in both directions.

To test the theory, two 1,550-nm wavelength channels were transmitted over standard fiber as shown in Figure 2. Imperfect filtering was investigated by tuning the received channel wavelength off the passband of the demultiplexer port. Figure 3 shows results for the continuous-wave (CW) channel purposely tuned to a very high slope point (0.42 dB/GHz). From Figure 3, the full subcarrier frequency and channel spacing dependence can be determined. The dotted lines are the predicted crosstalk contribution from XPM-TS (equation 2), and the solid lines show the total crosstalk. At close spacing, the 800-MHz crosstalk is much larger than that at lower frequencies. For the same magnitude phase modulation, the corresponding magnitude of frequency modulation increases linearly with modulation frequency. At larger channel spacings, this difference diminishes because the walkoff between the channels affects higher frequency modulation more.
Hmm, if anyone has even a little design/investigation experience with the age old reliable classic 4-20mA industrial sensor interface then this article might well tickle many types of augmentations including perhaps obverse types of secure signal multiplexing beyond simple current feedback with barest minimum of (copper) cabling, thanks for post provoking furious note writing for some distant future

I pay $14 a month and get to watch all the things I want to watch. The select few shows and movies that I want to watch that aren’t on Netflix, I just go out and purchase from Walmart. So instead of paying hundreds of dollars a month on content that I’m not going to watch 75% of and am NOT interested in, I pay a fraction of that and miss out on nothing. And I am not an exception as evidenced by the over 100 million Netflix subscribers.
One of the other nice aspects of PageBuilder OS is that SmallHD has actually bothered to standardize the false color functionality. As a default, the false colors are mapped directly to ARRI cameras, but you can also customize them to whatever camera you are using. This is a big deal. A lot of other monitors just have false color with no scale or markings and you have no idea what you are actually seeing. Above you can see what I mean. The false color indicators on the SmallHD accurately reflect what I am seeing in my EVF.

Yet looking at the numbers they are giving me, I would be paying MORE with the new plan that I did before I dropped DirecTV. They offer $300 Visa gift cards that still don’t even make-up how much extra I would be paying over the course of six months, not even considering the two years in the contract
It is a very harsh environment, low earth orbit even more so. Given the large quantity of their proposal I would guess that each sat is built to minimize cost. Hopefully they have plans for mitigation of their space garbage.
