The new 3644 mini-Tx is designed to support traditional hybrid fiber coax (HFC) multi-wavelength node-splitting radio frequency over glass (RFoG) and RF overlay for fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) applications. The platform supports RF loads of analog, quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) to 1218MHz and is fully DOCSIS 3.1 compatible. The 3644 mini-Tx achieves a modulation error ratio (MER) of 44dB across the entire operating band under full QAM load conditions. MER at the receiver is the key parameter for link performance in modern QAM-based HFC networks. Additionally, there is an RF test port on-board with monitor and control via an RS-232 interface.

The whole philosophy behind the Cine 7 RX and TX is simplicity. By integrating everything you need into one compact solution you take away some of the pains of traditional wireless monitoring. You only need to power one device, don’t need to mount one product to another and you don’t need to run any cables. If you want a complete FSK transceiver, check out Analog Devices’ ADF7021 series of ICs.  These ICs come in versions that cover the 80 MHz to 650 MHz range as well as 862 MHz to 950 MHz making them ideal for ISM band products.  The ADF7021 chips implement 2FSK, 3FSK, and 4FSK but not 8FSK or 16FSK.  3FSK is an unusual version that uses three frequencies, the carrier center frequency and upper and lower shift frequencies.  3FSK is a bit more bandwidth efficient that 2FSK.  The IC also offers raised cosine or Gaussian filtering for the data prior to modulation to squeeze out a few more bits per Hz of bandwidth.

Home Phone is has been dying. People just use their Cell phones ONLY. I still have my service which is from OOMA. If it was just me, I would just have to pay taxes for the service which is about $4 a month. But because my Dad moved in with me, I transferred his longtime home phone number over to it also and so I need to Premium service for the 2 Home phone numbers which is about $15 a month. it’s VOIP. Sounds great, has E911. If you get service from Comcast, it’s like $40 a month for 1 line.
